There is something to be said for going to church every week. No one else in the house is up right now. I'm making coffee, typing here, getting ready to make copies of the bulletin and get a new laptop loaded with the software that'll (prayerfully & hopefully) make our service run smoothly. And I'm really looking forward to going to church.

There are blog entries all over the 'osphere concerned with not going to church, it's ok to not do church, it's beneficial to do something different. I'm not writing against them - it's just that actualy going to church is usually given the short end of the cultural church stick. As long as you're seeking after "Christ in community", however that's defined for you right now, that's cool. For me, it's come to mean gathering together with my church family a few times each week. If anything, we might need to meet together more - able to encourage each other more, play together more, worship together more, grow together more.
